We would like to give you a warm welcome to the 5th edition of Experience Fighters 2018. 

Experience Fighters is an event that is gaining greater importance each year, and during this edition we count on the institutional support of Madrid City Council. Luis Cueto, General Coordinator at Madrid City Council, will partake in this presentation, setting the stage for talks where you will be able to listen to world renowned experts in various disciplines of experience creation. 

Two parallel disruptions are rewriting the rules for platforms and experience design: AI and blockchain. They give unprecedented power to platforms that have huge sums of user data in order to optimize and personalize, whilst blockchain offers a new model for the decentralizing of data and incentive distribution for all participants. In this talk, Jen Heazlewood together with Nick Coronges explore emerging issues and their implications for technology and designer. You don’t want to miss out!

Sergio and Salvador will take the stage together at EXF18. They have both declared that Virtual Reality is here to stay. Even with this firm belief, they feel we need to understand how to smooth the path to the creation of immersive experiences though channels available to the general public. In this speech they will dig deep into the topic of new work frameworks, which will allow us to design virtual immersive worlds, based on the technology that we know best: the web.

How could I transform my observations into innovative design ideas for everyone? Astrid Weber, UX researcher, Google will share insights from her research and discuss how users that are very different from her team generate inspiration for better usability and new product ideas. 

Rafaél Alférez, Conrado Espí, and Orazio Corva can all agree that the world of private mobility is ablaze with changes. The three experts will come together at this roundtable to dig further into what this might look like when take experience into account. These changes will be uncovered by investigating four main factors. Moreover, asking some pragmatic questions is critical: What kind of diversification can we expect? What are Spain’s carsharing expansion plans? How do governments feel about all of this? You don’t want to miss it.

Thanks to advancements in Natural Language Processing and Artificial Intelligence conversational experiences are here to stay. Conversational UX comes into play in order to embrace the full potential and achieve a seamless interaction between human and technology. 

This talk will cover how to approach the design of several conversational interfaces such as Chatbots, Voice Assistants and Conversational Robots. We will discuss the challenges and explore opportunities for these emerging channels focusing on human-robot interaction.
