Parque del Retiro

One of the best ways to have a rest, after a hard day is to buy a book at the Salesian Bookstore and spend some time at the wonderful Retiro Park. It was once the domain of the royal circle but is now the city’s prized green lung. The central lake is peppered with rowboats; the towering fence is circled by lithe joggers; and the Cristal Palace, exhibit flora and fauna from the Philippines.
